Touching Grass

I had the opportunity to interview my friend Jeramy Martin for my podcast - The Eternal Flame - Passing the Torch.  You can check that out here:

One concept I learned from my conversation with Jeramy is to #touchgrass

Jeramy is a gamer amongst many other things.  He said that when someone is crushing a game with crazy high scores, fellow players don’t congratulate, they tell said player to touch grass.  In other words, you spend way too much time on this game, get outside with nature and touch grass.

Many times in the game of life, I find myself in similar circumstances.  Last night, after flying in from a week long shoot in Seattle, I went to my happy place.  I didn’t exactly touch grass,  but there is something about the feeling of your feet pressing into the sand and connecting with nature.

Winning or losing, touching grass is about the intensity of the game.  We all need to take a pause now and then. It can be the surge you need to keep winning, or the momentum to turn things around.

How is your day going?

If it’s not what you had hoped, I offer this advice: Pause 10 minutes to #touchgrass

If it doesn’t fit in your schedule, click play and enjoy 22 seconds of virtually touching grass.
